Mysterious materel materializes in Middle East, marked with Masumi’s ‘Mum… Maybe

SAUDI ARABIA –

800px-Flag_of_JSDF.svgA strange vehicle, apparently military in nature, appeared in Saudi Arabia today, bearing markings of what appeared to be the Japanese SDF.  The markings had some inconsistencies, however – most notably the presence of what seemed to be Cyrillic writing on a panel (though the photograph was unclear), and the Chrysanthemum of Imperial Japan, when the Japanese SDF’s symbology uses a stylized Japanese flag.

Japanese Prime Minister Atari Akiyoshi denied that the hardware was Japanese in origin:

Per a scientific arrangement, Russia was supposed to have went [sic] to Saudi Arabia for scientific purposes. We believe that there’s been foul play involved by the Russians, who are attempting to discredit Japan for unknown reasons.  We’re investigating this currently, and are in talks with the other nations.

When asked if the Russian military was capable of producing such unique equipment, Japanese Foreign Secretary Hojo Shigetoki answered:

We cannot comment on the potential development of Russian military tech, as we are not in control of it.  You will have to ask them.

Representatives of the Russian Federation were not available for comment.

Prime Minister Akiyoshi continued:

The Russian-Chinese alliance is concerning, especially with their combined military might. They might have been developing technology in secret, planning to forcefully expand their alliance past their current borders with advanced technology.

At this point, Chinese Chief Scientific Advisor Professor Deng Yang had the following remarks:

Glorious China would like to remind everyone that no opportunities for advanced technology recovery have presented themselves before now.  Glorious China also wonders how these apparently advanced and unusual military forces were mistaken for Japanese.  I fail to see how our statement that no advanced technology has been previously recovered relates to Russia’s intelligence.  The suggestion of a rapid acquisition of such advanced technology would itself imply that Russia has stolen said technology, a claim we vehemently refute.  As Glorious China’s lead scientist, it is my job to divine the true meaning of things.  We are stating that the technology is unlikely to be Russian in origin.  More investigation, including a professional analysis of these photos, is required. until then we cannot speculate.

This seemed to raise more questions than it answered – if not Japanese, and not Russian, then… whose?  And is it related to the unidentified aircraft seen over US soil?

More on this story as it develops.
