French Foreign Secretary Alain Benedict issued a press release late last night calling for immediate deployment of World Food Programme and Refugee Programme resources to Chile in the wake of the earthquakes that recently ravaged the nation.
“Due to the lack of action from other lesser UN nations we feel it is necessary that France once again leads the way in this effort, While many nations may have forgotten about those poor folks; the Great nation of France certainly has not.”
While the UN deliberates as to what form this aid will take, and which of its member nations will bear the brunt of the cost, only one question remains from the Chilean people: How much longer can they wait?
