France, Japan enter military alliance, cites “invaders”

2000px-Flag_of_the_United_Nations_(1945-1947).svgA source within the United Nations who chose not to be named stated late last night that France and Japan had entered into a military alliance, stating that their “combined research capabilities will be an overwhelming force for any type of invader”.  Questions as to the nature and nationality of the expected invaders were not answered at press time, but the tone of the conversation implied that there was no organized national threat on the horizon.

With a lack of hard information to report on, I am forced to speculate – was this a response to the fumbled nuclear weapons ‘joke’ from earlier?  Perhaps the incident which caused so much upset on Capitol Hill led stateless forces such as ISIS / ISIL to see France as disorganized and easy pickings.  History tells us that Spain was once a Muslim nation, could ISIS / ISIL be setting its sights on Europe to reclaim ‘lost’ territory?

Japan is well known for their advanced technology, but Article 9 of their constitution forbids the maintenance of a standing army for anything but self-defense (though this article was re-interpreted in 2014 to allow for defense of allied nations).  France is under no such restriction, so time will only tell what fruit will come from the seed of this alliance.

Sources within INTERPOL were able to confirm that large shipping containers bearing markings of diplomatic ‘pouches’ had been travelling back and forth between the two nations, though were unwilling to speculate as to their contents.
